All of our hardwood products are hand made by our master craftsmen and installed to the highest standards.
All of our bespoke hardwood windows and doors are manufactured with our exclusive moulded sections which incorporate an Aquamac draught and weather proofing system as standard. Our Hardwood products are treated with multiple base coat stains and then finished and colour matched to your taste and requirements.
ALL OF OUR CONSERVATORIES, WINDOWS AND DOORS ARE TRADITIONALLY HANDCRAFTED WITHIN OUR PRODUCTION FACILITIES USING SUSTAINABLE HARDWOOD TIMBERS.
SAPELE - from West Africa is a reddish-brown hardwood. Although some parts of the Sapele logs will produce straight grain or 'quartered' effect, generally it has a more random grain appearance. It is used for numerous mahogany looking products.
IDIGBO - from West Africa is a yellow coloured hardwood used mainly for paint finish interior shopfitting and joinery. However its good overall strength, moderate hardness and natural resistance to moisture has seen it more regularly used in the manufacture of conservatories, windows and doors.
EUROPEAN OAK - is sourced from France, Germany, Belgium and a small amount from within the UK. It is one of the most durable and versatile species. Its natural tannin content enhances its durability.Quarter sawn boards have an interesting medullary ray visible on the surface, which is not only more stable but also aesthetically pleasing.
AMERICAN WHITE OAK - is distinct from Western Europe Oak. It is generally produced from a smaller log and is less durable than the European variety. However it is very popular for interior and exterior joinery.
Materials - All windows are made from selected Hardwood timbers . Manufactured locally in our own joinery.
Sections - All of our bespoke hardwood windows are manufactured with our exclusive moulded sections.
Weather Sealing - Our hardwood windows are one of the very few custom made windows which incorporate an Aquamac draught and weather proofing system as standard.
Design - The window can be supplied in many different designs from picture windows to bespoke styles including bays and can be supplied with leaded or Georgian glazing styles.
Fittings - All windows incorporate brass finish shoot bolt locking handle system for extra security.
Hinges - Friction hinges are standard. Made from stainless steel and fully adjustable, which gives the same benefits as aluminium products. The windows can be fitted with fire e-gress hinges.
Glazing - Double glazing to be 24mm overall, comprising of two panes of 4mm glass, using Saint Gobain Planitherm Total to inner pane with a 16mm Argon gas filled cavity and warm edge spacer bar. Single glazing is also available when required.
Materials - All doors are manufactured from prime quality selected timbers and incorporate a timber weatherbar.
Design - There is many different style to choose from fielded panel doors to plain designs in a choice of diamond or square leaded glazing. Georgian styles a speciality.
Fittings - A choice of fittings in brass, Georgian or Elizabethan furniture styles are available.
Hinges / Seals - Top quality brass butt or parliment hinges are used and all doors incorporate an Aquamac draught seal and built in drip tray to obtain a severe exposure rating.
Glazing - Rebated to take a 14mm or 24mm sealed unit or single glazing. All units are beaded and bedded in Arbomastic.
